Our Mission
Ardsley Music Partners (AMP) is a 501 (c) (3) parent run organization whose mission is to encourage, promote and support the music department within the Ardsley School District in all our instrumental and vocal programs across all three schools. Research suggests that music education greatly contributes to the development of well rounded students.
What We Do
The goal of AMP is to encourage participation in music as well as increase the prominence of the Ardsley music program. We do this in a variety of ways including working closely with our music teachers and district administrators. Our outreach to the community also helps raise awareness of the programs. In addition, it is our hope that our fundraising efforts will enhance and enrich current programs.
Our Story
The idea for AMP grew out of a conversation between the co-founders in 2019 after noticing the differential levels of parent involvement in the music programs compared to other district programing. With our own children so heavily involved in the music programs, we felt we could make a positive impact on our district with the creation of a music booster club. After a covid pause, we returned to the idea in 2021 and brought in Heeral Mehta to round out our e-board. We incorporated in October of 2022 and received our non-profit status in January of 2023.
Meet the AMP Board
Rebecca Berry, AMP President
Rebecca started AMP in 2022 with the help of Erica Finegan and Heeral Mehta. Over the last 5 years we have supported and advocated for all our young musicians in the Ardsley School District. Rebecca also has two children, a former Ardsley trombonist who now attends Boston College, and a current French horn player in the wind ensemble.
Erica Finegan, AMP Ex Officio
Erica is the proud parent of two Ardsley High School graduates, Ryan '23 and Evan '26! She is grateful to the CRS teachers who placed saxophones in the hands of her 3rd graders so many years ago. Both Ryan and Evan continued playing through high school in Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band and continue to play now. Erica serves as Ex Officio after co-founding AMP and serving as Co-President.
Kevin O’Donovan, AMP Secretary
Kevin is a college Neuroscience professor and father of 2. Daughter Niamh is a sophomore in college and an AHS graduate who was a violinist active with Chamber Orchestra, while son Sean is an 10th grader who plays piano and trumpet and sings in the Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, and Select Chorus. Kevin can’t play any instruments but still loves music!
Mike Owen, VP of Events
Mike Owen is a Finance professional and Dad of 2 kids in the Ardsley School District - Amelie is in 8th grade and is a keen Cellist, and Liv is in 4rd Grade and is already studying singing. Mike is a music fanatic and has played bass and guitar in many bands in both the US and the UK.
Bhasu Malleichervu, Treasurer
Bhasu Is a Technology Executive at IBM and has been living in Ardsley since 2015. Family of 3, with wife, Roohi actively involved in the community and a son, Arjun in middle school. Bhasu is a music fanatic and plays the drums. Bhasu played the drums at multiple Riverrock concerts. Arjun is part of the AMS school band and plays a variety of percussion instruments, primarily focused on drums.
Ciaran Doyle, Communications
Ciaran is a Marketing executive in the tech space, father of two, and an Ardsley resident since 2014, though married to an Ardsley High School alumna (class of '99). Growing up playing piano and drums, his love of music was passed on to a fun fan and musician who plays trombone in the AMS band and piano as well. Ciaran has been trying to learn bass guitar in his "spare time", but slow going so far!
Amanda Keil, CRS Coordinator
Amanda‘s musical career began in the Ardsley middle school band room, and she is happy to complete the circle as an Ardsley parent. Amanda teaches elementary music and chorus in Ossining, and she is an active singer and horn player.
Roohi Majli, AMS Coordinator
Michele Albano, AHS Coordinator
Michele Albano is an attorney and mom of two. Both of her children have played trombone in the Ardsley music program since 3rd grade. Haley, a 2026 AHS graduate, played in the band and, ultimately, Wind Ensemble. Patrick, an 8th grader at AMS, continues the family’s trombone tradition in the Jazz Band and also plays the tuba in the concert band.
